Day 16-Tuesday-Election Day in the US

We didn't have an exciting day today.  For most of today Christy did not feel well.  John had the same symptoms yesterday so we are thinking we picked up some bug here.  This afternoon we headed to the mall that is walking distance from our hotel.  They have an arcade so we played some games with the kids and then grabbed dinner there at one of our favorite places: Crepes and Waffles.

Judicial Strike update:  The judges did not come back to work today but we saw in the paper that they met yesterday to negotiate (on a holiday in Colombia) and met again today so we are hopeful they reached an agreement.  They paper yesterday said they made progress so we are hopeful.  Christy leaves for Colorado on Thursday and we are hoping it is shortly there after John and the kids arrive.

Update on L:  We are still breaking the princess of some of her behaviors.  Each day is getting better as today there were some fits but no screams.  I think she is understanding that we are not giving in to her screams.

Tomorrow we have another English lesson with the kids and Fernando and then for sure we are heading to the Gold Museum.

We are both really missing home and the US and simple things you take for granted, like a washing machine, sidewalks with no holes in them, pedestrians that have the right of way, English, our family/friends/kids and pets, milk from a fridge, eggs with no shells in them (John's pet peave), the ability to walk into an establishement without being searched by security with nice guns!

We will miss Colombia when we leave as well as they have so much fruit here that tastes way better here than in the US, colorful flowers, Ice Cream everywhere and most of all the relaxed style of the people here!
