Day 17-A High/Low Day

We woke up this morning to an email from the US Embassy telling us that the strike in Colombia was over and that they had reached an agreement late last night.  We couldn't believe the news and were so excited that this meant we all maybe able to come home soon.  The judges were scheduled to return to work at 2pm today and our attorney indicated she was on it as far as getting our documents submitted.

We decided to head out for lunch..Boneless Wings (Not too bad here although a bit pricey) and over the the Children's Science and Technology Museum (Maku) for the day.  We had a good time at the museum although did not see all of it by any means.  We didn't realize it closed at 5pm and there was so much to see.

When we got back to hotel we heard that the judges rejected the proposal and have decided to continue striking.  Hence the High/Low sub-title.  So essentially we are back to square one waiting for them to come off of strike or come up with an alternative solution to the process.

I (Christy) leave to go back to Colorado tomorrow and I hope and pray that John and the kids will be shortly behind me.
